Viva La Venice: Early Pavilion Gems!

Art Ruby was fascinated with Glasstress in Venice, a multi month, multi artist exhibit that explores the relationship of 45 modern and contemporary artists to glass. Those included in the show are Man Ray, Jean Arp, Louise Bourgeois, and Lucio Fontana. Our very own omnipresent Biennale photographer Mariya Chekmarova captured the fragile highlights.

Now that you got to here in Venice, there’s a lot to see. There’re pavilions (Barbies in Switzerland! Hot Dogs in Austria! Weird Typing Machine in Spain!), random A-listers (Anna Wintour, Salma Hayek, Naomi Campbell), lots of fashion fetes (Gucci, Missoni, and Prada among others), and oh yea…lots of art.
