The Webster started its now familiar Basel campaign with presentation of the collaboration between Gaetano Pesce and Melissa Shoes. “When Gaetano proposed the idea to me he mentioned an idea of “No Shoe” which made me a little bit nervous,” smiled Michele Levy, US head of the brand, at the intimate dinner celebrating the collaboration. “But of course he’s a genius and we’re all ecstatic with results.” After collaborating with Zaha Hadid recently, Melissa moved to Pesce and his minimalist and inspired results that are headed straight for the Wolfsonian auction to benefit the institution. The duck, caviar, sea bass, and macaroon Kaspia meal was co-organized by Lorenzo Martone who was proudly styled by Melissa’s creative head Edson Matsuo for the event. “I’m decorating very special people with these plastic gems,” Matsuo beamed. “We’re setting a new trend tonight!”
