Rx X 10
Another night, another auction filled delight. Monday night was all about the CFDA’s Fashion Fund (for those with good Vogue chutzpa) and RxArt’s 10th Anniversary for all of us artistic souls, craving another silent auction. And that latter great fundraiser at the Art Director’s club required three separate chairs, James Franco, Terry Richardson, and Rob Pruitt, but all three gentlemen stepped up for an undeniably great cause- uplifting art for children’s hospital. Here are the highlights… Monday night notables: Ryan McGinley in a sharp Calvin suit, Dan Colen, Aaron Young, Will Cotton, and Humberto Leon. Latest big name arrival: James Franco…but he told everyone that he had classes at Yale earlier in the night. Most welcome surprise: A DJ set from yes…Simon de Pury. He did reality TV this year, knows how to use the turntables and has an awesome accent. This man is a supernova. Most welcome parting gift: Useful Kiehl’s swag in the goody bag. Biggest live auction draw: The Yoshitomo Nara that fetched $28,000 [nggallery id=1] Photos: Billy Farrell/BFAnyc.com
