This season, we witnessed a giant yellow bear at the Seagram's Plaza, a colossal head at the Madison Square Park, and now a immense Julien Marinetti "Doggy John" sculpture has joined the Gotham public art leagues. The installation, which will be in place through September, is housed in the posh courtyard of the Palace Hotel. Why a colorful pooch? “It could have been a dog, a duck, a skull – the shapes are experiments and a surface for my painting,” smiled the French artist.
